Giving through your Will is easier than you think!
When you leave a gift to the Y in your Will, you are creating opportunities for children, families and individuals in central and northern Alberta not just today, but for years into the future.
Planned giving, sometimes called legacy gifts, is when a donor makes an allocation in their Will or creates other plans to donate to a charity that shares their values and priorities. By giving this way, you have the power to create a lasting impact on our community, while still taking care of your family.
The most common way to make a planned gift is by leaving a gift in your Will — also known as a bequest. You can also make a gift using a life insurance policy, a RIFF or RRSP, or appreciated securities.
It is important to note that anyone can leave a gift to a charity. This is an inclusive way of giving and does not require a donor to be affluent.
